Reduce - Reuse - Recycle

At Helping Children, we hold a strong belief in giving toys and resources a second life.
A great deal of the furniture, and toys you'll find in our clinic have been previously cherished
elsewhere before finding a loving home with us.
Dr. Johnson, with her dedication to enhancing the lives of children and their families,
has been collecting these valuable resources throughout her career.
This not only ensures a warm and inviting environment for our families
but also aligns with our commitment to reducing waste and unnecessary consumption of new items.
By repurposing and reusing these materials,
we strive to create a sustainable and eco-friendly space that benefits both our children and the environment.

Ensuring a Safe Environment:
Mitigating the Spread of Communicable Viruses and Infections

At Helping Children, the well-being of our young clients is of utmost importance. We are fully aware that some children in our care may be immunocompromised, and with the ongoing concern of virus and infection spread, we have implemented mitigation procedures to create a safe and healthy environment for everyone.

  • Our commitment to safeguarding your child's health includes the following measures:
  • Hand Hygiene: To promote cleanliness, children are kindly asked to wash their hands upon entry to the clinic. This simple yet effective practice helps reduce the risk of transmission.
  • HEPA Filter Air Purifiers: Each room in our clinic is equipped with HEPA filter air purifiers, ensuring the air remains fresh and free from harmful particles.
  • Enhanced Ventilation: We have installed additional external ventilation to improve air circulation and minimize the concentration of airborne pathogens.
  • Optional Procedure Masks: Both children and accompanying adults are offered the option to wear procedure masks during their time at the clinic. This added layer of protection can help minimize the spread of germs.
  • Therapists' Masks: Dr. Johnson is always prepared to mask upon request, providing an extra level of protection during sessions.
  • Frequent Surface Cleaning: High-touch surfaces, such as doorknobs, toys, and play equipment, undergo regular and thorough cleaning to maintain a hygienic environment.
By implementing these comprehensive mitigation procedures, we strive to create a safe haven for all our clients, especially those with special health considerations. At Helping Children, we are committed to promoting a healthy and secure space where children can thrive and families can feel confident in their child's care. If you have any questions or concerns about our health and safety protocols, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to support your child's well-being in every possible way.
