Helping Children:
Child Psychology Services

Picture

Helping Children is a specialized clinic providing child psychology services to
children
two to twelve years of age and their families.

Welcome to Helping Children, a specialized child psychology clinic dedicated to supporting children (ages 2 to 12) and their families. Our clinic is thoughtfully designed to create a warm and welcoming environment for children, featuring child-sized furniture, toys, art materials, and games. Our primary goal is to ensure the comfort and well-being of both the children and their families during their time with us.

At Helping Children, we understand that each child is unique and may face various mental health and life challenges. We are committed to providing compassionate care and personalized therapy to address a wide range of issues, including:
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Grief and Loss
  • Family Change (Divorce, Blended Families, New Sibling)
  • Adoption
  • Relationship Challenges (Friendships, Siblings)
  • Emotional Regulation (Externalizing and Internalizing Behavior)
  • Trauma
Additionally, we specialize in offering therapeutic support to children on the Autism Spectrum, as well as their siblings and families.

Prior to their first session, we ensure that children become familiar with our clinic through a social narrative. This story helps them understand the purpose and experience of therapy at Helping Children, easing any concerns they may have and facilitating a positive and comfortable experience. During a child's session, we kindly request that an adult be present in the waiting room. This is to provide the child with peace of mind and mental reassurance during their time with us.

Dr. Johnson is dedicated to creating a nurturing and supportive environment for each child, enabling them to thrive and achieve their full potential. We work closely with families, developing personalized treatment plans that consider the unique needs and strengths of each child.

At Helping Children, we are passionate about making a positive difference on the lives of children and their families. If you believe your child could benefit from our services or if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. We are here to support you every step of the way on your child's journey towards well-being and growth. Our goal is to Help Children Live Happy and Healthy Lives.
