Our Fees
At Helping Children, Fees are set in accordance with the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta, with the most recent fee change occurring on January 1, 2025. Checking with your healthcare insurance benefits provider will inform you of the details of your coverage.
- Individual session $235 (50 minutes in length) This includes Child Therapy, Parent Coaching and Intake sessions.
- Report writing, telephone consultation, letters, emails, and form completion for the parent/guardian are billed at the rate of the service being provided.
- Billing will occur in 10-minute increments for services provided outside of scheduled therapy sessions—such as phone calls, letters, emails, or other related tasks—calculated at one-fifth of the hourly rate per 10 minutes. Incremental billing will also apply to any portion of a session that extends beyond the standard 50-minute therapy hour.
- Assessment (price will vary on type and length of the assessment). Assessment cost is an hourly rate of $235.00.
- Sessions may be paid by e-transfer or, with special arrangements, by cash. E-transfer payments are sent at the beginning of the session; the payment will be processed after the session is completed.
- Parents/caregivers may submit Child Psychology Services receipts to their extended health benefits provider for reimbursement or use them as medical receipts for income tax purposes.
- Formal reporting requests made by clients or third parties (e.g., insurance companies, lawyers) will be billed at an hourly rate appropriate to the nature and purpose of the documentation.
